The purpose of Network Benchmark testing is to optimize Cellular Networks, based on the analyses of logs collected after performing the Benchmark testing activity.
The Aim is to assure a consistent and efficient service through which Cellular Networks are able to collect the required information in order to compare Network performance and Customer experience. Moreover, to the high level Bench marking results itself, the purpose is to identify and analyze issues as well as to gain competitive insights.Service providers undertake regular benchmarking to validate how their voice and data services perform in comparison to that of their competitors. Benchmarking also measures whether service levels promised to subscribers and regulators are being met. The results are used to drive improvements in customer experience, expand coverage and capacity, and fine tune marketing messages.
Basic measurements and KPI data is provided shortly after the execution of the measurements to enable engineering and optimization services. Drive test vehicle is capable of monitoring the performance in cities, highways and touristic areas and is equipped with scanner hardware. Backpack systems are used to get Benchmark results on high speed train routes and also at places of concentrations (e.g. stadiums, airports, shopping malls etc.) as well as in areas where monitoring through vehicle is not convenient.
